"My wife and I have lived at "The Village" for almost four years. It was not an easy decision. We had a nice home, but at our age and growing limitations we felt it wise to change our life style while we could and still enjoy our independence. Here at The Village we live in a nice unit of two bedrooms, two baths, living room, kitchen with dining area, and a lovely patio. Everything is built with seniors in mind and is most appreciated. Included with the rent is a great noon meal served by people who know your name and treat you like a friend. The cooks do their best to serve good meals and meet our dietary needs. The staff at The Village are well trained, friendly and always ready to help with our needs. The beauty shop takes care of women's hair needs as well as men's hair cuts. When we don't wish to drive any more, local transportation is provided. Also trips are taken to shows, to interesting sights and places for a day or two days, and other events are always in the planning. Events for the body, such as exercise classes, monthly health check ups, and events for the soul, such as a weekly chapel service. Finally, I believe, my favorite things here are the people who live in the Village. I couldn't pick better neighbors. We are all different. There is a spirit of love and interest in one another that's hard to find elsewhere. The Village is the place for me." |

The 47 current residents of The Village are enjoying maintaining an active lifestyle while living in a park-like setting. They can maintain their privacy when desired and they are also able to take advantage of daily interaction with friends and neighbors. They especially like the freedom from "chores" such as cleaning, yard work, and general maintenance a home demands. ' |

The Village Don't tell me there's any better place to be. I love it here, you see! The food's great -just first rate. The employees are all so kind. It just boggles my mind. It's a good home base. I can't think of living any other place. I love it here, you see! |

After forty years of medical practice in central Washington we moved to Selma, bought a two-hundred acre place on McCall avenue in 1975. After another twenty-five years in Selma we retired. We visited The Village and were so impressed we signed-up right away. We moved here in December 2001. We are very happy. Beautiful surroundings, good food with alternatives for special needs. They clean our apartment every other week. They have fire alarms, pull cords in every room for emergencies ~ a daily check-in system (red light) to be sure all is ok. The Village employees are all pleasant, and are ready to help. They repair any damage that may need attention. Transportation is available. We think it's wonderful. |
